Hello!
So many listeners of The Screenagers Podcast have told us that what makes the show extra special and helpful to them is hearing real world examples from other parents, teachers, teens and kids who share their challenges, concerns, advice and solutions on matters related to screen time, social media and this digital age in general.
That is why I am making this special request of you — to everyone reading this.
This year we’re excited to create the Screenagers Caring Community! This is a group of our listeners and supporters — both youth and adults — who are interested in speaking on The Screenagers Podcast and sharing their stories, opinions, advice and more!
You would join a private list maintained by our Screenagers team that would include people passionate about improving screen time issues for youth (and adults) in our society.
From time to time, usually about once a month, we will send topics or questions your way that we would love to get your perspective on. If it was something that you wanted to weigh in on, then you would let us know by reply.
From there we would arrange a time to chat over with me (Delaney), Lisa or another member of our team, usually on zoom and with your permission we would audio record the chat for use in the podcast. (No video and if needed it can be anonymous and even voice modified.)

Thoughtful family tech rules help protect kids’ wellbeing, learning, and sleep while strengthening connection at home. Psychologist Jean Twenge explains how parental controls can support healthier tech use by protecting sleep, limiting late night device access, and reducing kids’ exposure to content they are not developmentally ready to handle. She discusses why third party parental control tools are often more effective and easier to use than built in options, while acknowledging that no system is perfect. Clear boundaries, combined with technology based limits, can reduce ongoing conflict and make screen time rules easier to enforce.
