I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you - our fourth Screenagers movie is set to release at the beginning of September!
Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition is tailored specifically for parents, students, and educators involved with elementary school-age children.
We made this film because I believe we can change the trajectory of youth mental health if we address the impact of screen time as early as possible.
This new film features compelling data and captivating stories that will resonate with anyone who cares about the well-being of young children. We’ve brought in some incredible thought leaders for this project, including social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, author of the current bestselling book, The Anxious Generation.

In a just-released podcast episode, I’m joined by my film partner, Lisa Tabb, who is also my collaborator on the wider Screenagers movement. Together, we’ll discuss our Away For The Day campaign, which we launched back in 2017 and have just significantly updated ahead of the 24/25 academic year.
The essence of the Away For The Day campaign is to get smartphones, and now smartwatches, out of kids' hands and pockets and put them away for the entire school day — whether in lockers, locked pouches, or special boxes. This approach has numerous benefits, and we talk all about it in this episode.
In addition, I speak with Jonathan Haidt about his dedication to this cause, which is something he writes about in his bestselling book, The Anxious Generation. Here's a short clip from the episode where Jonathan talks about the true reasons behind declining academic results in U.S. Schools.
